About the Digital Commons @ UMarin

In keeping with our University's mission to "showcase the research and preserve the intellectual capital of the University of Marin", the Research Showcase represents the platform to manage submission, access, distribution and preservation of scholarship.

What Does the Research Showcase Archive?

Scholarly work such as conference proceedings, unpublished articles, audiovisual presentations, and working papers generally receive limited or uncertain exposure. The repository can also hold items in many digital formats, including text, images, data sets, and computer programs. The repository can include both unpublished and published.

Digital Commons Software

The Research Showcase is powered by Digital Commons, licensed from Berkeley Electronic Press (bepress). bepress provides the infrastructure for the repository and also allows the university of Marin administrators to produce and manage online journals and peer-reviewed series quickly and inexpensively.

Where can I learn more about IRs?

A good place to start is works.bepress.com/ir_research/. Here you will find a selection of articles on institutional repositories written by top scholars in the field.
